| At Fall Creek Portrait Design, we take our children's portraiture beyond what's available at budget or school studios. We want your child's portrait to reflect his or her personality. Here are a few steps to do just that. • Do a pre-portrait consultation. We'll learn about your son or daughter's personality, ideas you have for the session, clothing choices and form a general plan for your session. • Keep clothing basic. We don't want clothing to be the center of attention, rather it should be your child's face and personality. • Don't coach your son or daughter to look at the camera and smile for every image. Some of the most impactful images come when he or she isn't looking directly into the camera. Forced smiles don't look natural. We'll get him or her to smile, but children have different moods and we want to capture those too. |
